Ginger Island Upgrades & Costs – Stardew Valley

Every Ginger Island parrot upgrade in Stardew Valley with its Golden Walnut cost and location.

  • Ginger Island North – 1 Golden Walnuts, Leo's hut (Island East): Pay the parrot inside Leo's hut (follow Leo into the jungle on your first visit) to wake the turtle blocking the path north from the docks, opening Island North and the Volcano.
  • Ginger Island West – 10 Golden Walnuts, Island South, by the west path: Wakes the turtle blocking the path west from the docks, opening Island West (the farm, Birdie's hut, the Tiger Slime Grove and more). This parrot only appears after the parrot in Leo's hut has been paid.
  • Ginger Island Farmhouse – 20 Golden Walnuts, Island West, at the ruined farmhouse: Repairs the farmhouse on the island farm. It has a bed and a kitchen, with a shipping bin outside, so you can sleep on the island. Also reveals the Gourmand Frog's cave and unlocks the Island Trader, Resort, Mailbox and Obelisk parrots.
  • Farmhouse Mailbox – 5 Golden Walnuts, Ginger Island Farmhouse: Adds a mailbox to the island farmhouse so mail can be read without leaving the island.
  • Farm Obelisk – 20 Golden Walnuts, Ginger Island Farmhouse: Builds an obelisk beside the island farmhouse that warps you back to your farm, like a Warp Totem. You also receive one Warp Totem: Island.
  • Island Dig Site – 10 Golden Walnuts, Island North, west of the Field Office: Repairs the broken bridge to the Dig Site, a quarry-like area with bone nodes, clay nodes and mahogany seeds. Bombing the boulder there frees Professor Snail and opens the Field Office.
  • Island Trader – 10 Golden Walnuts, Island North, at the trading stand: Opens the Island Trader, who barters island-themed items, furniture and Galaxy Souls for foraged goods. The parrot appears after the farmhouse is repaired.
  • Volcano Bridge – 5 Golden Walnuts, Volcano Dungeon entrance: Builds a permanent bridge over the lava river at the Volcano entrance so a Watering Can is no longer needed to get in. Available after reaching the Forge and unlocking its exit door.
  • Volcano Exit Shortcut – 5 Golden Walnuts, Volcano Dungeon, level 5: Opens an exit from level 5 of the Volcano Dungeon (by the shop) straight back out to Island North.
  • Island Resort – 20 Golden Walnuts, Island South, at the ruins by the docks: Rebuilds the ruins into a beach resort that a random group of villagers visits from 11am to 6pm on non-rainy, non-festival days; Gus runs a bar on the days he comes. Clears the debris to Island Southeast, which unlocks the Pirate Cove, the mermaid and the star pool. Requires the farmhouse first.
  • Parrot Express – 10 Golden Walnuts, Island West, north of the island farm: Unlocks the Parrot Express fast-travel stations linking the Docks, Jungle, Farm, Volcano and (once its bridge is repaired) the Dig Site. Pay at the station up the stairs and through the trees north of the farm.
